Social media without the anti-social bits

Kin lets you share moments and memories with the people you really care about, in private.

Clutter-free, ad-free and just the people you choose.

What happened to simply sharing photos and videos with friends and family?

The major social media platforms are now mass media platforms, and just not very social.

The conversations, moments and memories that really matter deserve their own, private space. That’s why we made Kin.

Welcome to Kin. Social media made personal.

Kin is a space for friends. A space for families. A space for sharing stories. And remembering and celebrating loved ones. A space where you can escape ads and share in complete privacy, knowing your data is always protected and not for sale.

Family

Reminisce about when Uncle Steve’s jokes were actually funny. Watch the grandkids grow up. Leave an important message for when you’re gone.

Kin is there for any family moment, past present and future.

Friends

Kin is designed with one thing in mind - staying close to the people you care about, like your mates. With Kin you can create Spaces for your different friendship groups, and make sure all the best moments and memories stick around in Storyline.

Clubs, communities, and more…

Kin doesn’t just stop at family and friends. Kin is ideal for sports and social clubs. Use the Storyline to post images and videos of events and allow people to communicate via 1-2-1 or group chats. It a great way to keep everything club related in one private place.

We created a Kin Space for our wedding and invited all our guest to join. We had all our wedding chats kept in one place. We kept everyone up to date ahead of the event by posting on the Storyline. James even used it to organise the Stag do. We spent the next morning looking through all the images and videos our guessed had shared and commented on. And for Mike and Emma who couldn’t make it, they could still be a part of it all. And not a single photo shared on Facebook!

What makes Kin different?

What people are saying about Kin

  • An essential app for long-distance families

Especially during times like these with travel at a standstill, Kin is such a brilliant way for my family, who are spread across several time zones, to stay up-to-date on each others' lives. I look forward to when my kids are old enough to have their own account and be able to scroll through all our family's photos and memories in one place

  • Kin is our family home

Having family all over the world, Kin really is the best place for a family gathering. No ads or news intruding on family time is brilliant too!

  • So easy, all three generations are using it

During lockdown, I came across this app when I decided to make a goal to digitise all our amazing family photos in one place. It's been such a seamless experience, I was able to get both my parents and my grandparents to create accounts and start adding in their favourite family stories which gave them so much joy as well. They've even created some future memories videos for when the grandkids hit milestone ages.
